PERC Membership
|
Because Rotarians hold leadership positions in their own organizations, they are in position to make things happen and get things done. That makes Rotary a powerful force for change in our region, and united with other Rotary Clubs, in our world. As a member, you become part of our network of local change agents as well as the 1.2 million member network that is Rotary International.
We encourage member attendance at our weekly luncheon meetings by extending fellowhship over a good meal, and conducting official Club business.
Meetings feature speakers drawn from leading government, corporate, small business and institutional entities in our region who keep us informed about issues, challenges and opportunities. They make us aware of the areas where Pittsburgh and the world need our investment and support, providing our members with the insight to make good choices that affect both community and business life in a meaningful way.
It's not all work. Rotarians join together for many social and family events, from a night at the Opera or Ballet to Family Day at the Zoo. We have elegant events and informal Octoberfests and Wine Bingo. And we become friends. When you work with someone on a worthwhile community service project, you get to know that person well. Rotary fosters friendships and promotes relationships that extend beyond the serevice arena into your business or organizational life.
